A visit to the wilder side of the Lake District, with the opportunity to visit a traditional agricultural show
Wasdale, the wildest of the valleys in the Lake District, is the remote and beautiful area between Gosforth in West Cumbria, past Wastwater, England’s deepest lake, and up to the mountains of Great Gable and Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain.
The Wasdale Head Show and Shepherds Meet
was once a simple gathering of farmers but has now become a family day out where the show committee endeavour to maintain the traditions and history of the event but at the same time offer something for everyone.
