Possibly the most spectacular walk in the West Midlands.   This walk is a circuit from the pretty Cardingmill Valley, up the rugged path by Light Spout waterfall, and then on to the summit of the hill (516m) at Pole Bank.  We’ll descend east above deep cut valleys for a walk back to Church Stretton.   On a good day this walk gives views stretching from the Brecon Beacons to the Clwyd hills.

It can feel surprisingly wild and remote, there is a good chance to see red kites soaring above..

The plan is to meet for 10.00 in National Trust pay and display car park at Cardingmill Valley, Church Stretton, GR 448943.   Any Trust members, please bring their cards to get free parking here. I suggest you try to park as near to the road end of the car park as you can and we will meet there. Please try to share cars if possible, I will help facilitate that if I can
