The walk:The route is about 7 to 10 miles over boggy ground.Ward Stone is the highest peak in Bowland and should give us excellent views if the weather is fine. We may include Clough Head  as well if time allows.

Please bring stout walking boots and packed lunch.

Start time : Please arrive at Jubilee Tower free carpark Grid ref 543573 on the fell road between Quernmore and Abbeystead at 9.15am with the plan to start walking at 9.30am

Directions :Leave M6 at Junction 33 and take the A6 south at the roundabout then sharp left into Hampson lane over the motorway .
Right at the T junction signposted Dolphinholme
Sharp left onto Bay horse lane signposted Quernmore
Right at crossroads in Quernmore signposted Trough of Bowland.
Carpark will be on your left opposite Jubilee tower.
