Black Sail hut is England's remotest youth hostel, located near the head of Ennerdale in the Lake District. During winter, the hostel is available for exclusive hire by groups and we have reserved it for GMC for this weekend. Getting to the hut requires a 7 mile walk-in from Bowness Knott carrying all our provisions for the weekend including food, beer and wine! The reward for this effort is a memorable stay in stunning surroundings with views of Haystacks, Great Gable and Pillar. Relax and unwind in front of the log fire after a day climbing a few Wainwrights, then prepare for the walk-out on the Sunday back to civilisation
