This is a fine hill walk on good paths, apart from one short section of steepish descent where the track has become a little eroded. It starts at the top of the Horseshoe Pass and goes over Moel y Gamelin, Moel y Gaer and Moel Morfydd, the ridge of the Llantysilio hills. From Moel Morfydd we descend on firstly on the outward route, and then soon loop round to the north on pleasant paths and a quiet lane back to the start. The route I plan to take avoids the very eroded track west of Moel Gamelin on a lovely contouring path.

In good weather there are vast hill views from the big Snowdonia/Eryri mountains to south Shropshire.

The walk is about 6.5 miles long.
