This walk starts from the Minera Lead Mines Museum car park. It is a 6.5 mile circuit on the high moorlands above Wrexham. It has a remote feel to it, and gives good views to the hills to the west and across to England in the east. We'll include a section on an old mineral railway line and a brief visit to the massive Minera Quarries, where it's possible we'll see peregrine falcons. Mainly the walk is on good paths, though there is one short section on rough heather going, and one short section is overgrown - so not a day for shorts and T-shirts!
