Saturday meet - North Berwyns: Corwen, Liberty Hall, and Bryn Lus
(log in to member's area for restricted information such as mobile numbers)

This walk is a different look at the North Berwyns. Starting from the main car park near the new station at Corwen at 10.00, the plan is to take a quick look at some of the historic sights there on the way to a path which takes us up above the Dee valle through forest along the Nant y Pign to emerge onto the north Berwyns.. We take in the ruins of Liberty Hall, an old shooting lodge built specifically for its fine views. And if the fancy takes us the remote summit of Bryn Lus (Pt 549m, 1,801'). We then descend through forest to Cynwyd and return to Corwen via the path along the old railway line by the River Dee.
Start time 10.00am, the walk is about 9.25 miles with around 1,400' of ascent, mostly on good paths and tracks, though the actual summit of Bryn Lus is heathery going.
