This is a chance to take a break from those Christmas preparations and get outside to celebrate the imminent Winter Solstice! It's a walk in Arrowe Park taking in a couple of its historic features, and on into the surrounding country around the course of Arrowe Brook. It's about 6 to 7 miles long and is flat.

A fair bit of the walk is under trees or between hedges so we should be able to cope if the weather isn't great. Parts of it are muddy, so wear full walking boots please!

If you fancy staying for a quick drink afterwards, the Cherry Orchard pub is right beside the start and finish point. A typical chain pub but it's large and convenient on what will be a busy day.
